On August 20, a delegation of journalists from leading media outlets in Kolkata, India, visited Sinocare Inc. in Xiangjiang New Area, Hunan. The visit was part of a China exchange program aimed at promoting people-to-people and media exchanges between China and India.
During the visit, the delegation met with representatives from Sinocare’s International Sales and Brand Management teams and explored the company’s innovations in biosensing technology and digital management solutions for diabetes and other chronic diseases.

Founded in 2002, Sinocare is committed to providing innovative, high-quality products and services for people with diabetes and related chronic diseases worldwide, helping improve their quality of life.
Over the past two decades, Sinocare has developed a healthcare model integrating biosensing, AI, and medical care, with four core business areas spanning personal point-of-care testing, precision desktop diagnostics, precision wearable systems, and digital diabetes management solutions.
Guided by its product philosophy of being accurate, simple, and affordable, Sinocare has built global R&D and manufacturing capabilities and continues to bring medical-grade testing technologies and digital health solutions into everyday life.
During the visit, the delegation explored Sinocare’s corporate history and product portfolio, gaining a closer look at how a Chinese biosensing company has evolved from a domestic innovator into a global healthcare technology provider.
Two products attracted particular attention: the iCan Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGM) and AGEscan, a non-invasive diabetes risk screening device.
The iCan CGM provides 15 days of continuous glucose monitoring and connects with the iCan Health App via Bluetooth, allowing users to view glucose trends and receive alerts on their smartphones. The latest iCan i6 also integrates Sinocare’s proprietary AI agent, iCan Coach, which provides intelligent guidance for glucose management and supports more personalized, proactive health management.

AGEscan uses fluorescence-based technology to assess the accumulation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) in the eye’s crystalline lens and estimate the risk of diabetes and related complications. As a non-invasive screening solution, it requires no blood draw or fasting and takes approximately six seconds, making it suitable for a wider range of community and primary healthcare settings.
Together, these products demonstrate Sinocare’s approach to making health monitoring more accessible through the combination of biosensing technology, AI, and user-centered design.
South Asia is an important part of Sinocare’s global strategy. The company entered the Indian market in 2013 and established a local subsidiary in 2020, marking a new stage of localized operations and market development.
In Bangladesh, Sinocare began its market presence in 2014, initially focusing on blood glucose monitoring products. Its portfolio has since expanded to include multiple blood glucose meter series, blood pressure monitors, iCan CGM products, and new multi-parameter monitoring solutions for chronic disease management.
These efforts reflect Sinocare’s approach to global expansion: not simply bringing products to international markets, but developing solutions based on local needs and building long-term partnerships with local markets.
The visit provided the delegation with a closer look at China’s growing capabilities in biosensing and digital healthcare, while also creating an opportunity for deeper dialogue between Chinese and Indian media.

For Sinocare, the exchange marks another step in strengthening its presence in South Asia and connecting its healthcare innovations with the needs of people around the world.
Looking ahead, Sinocare will continue to integrate biosensing, AI, and healthcare, turning advanced technologies into accessible solutions for diabetes and chronic disease management—and helping more people live healthier lives.
