Gallstone Surgery: If Blood Glucose Cannot Be Controlled, Can the Outcome Not Be Controlled Either? The Hospital-Wide Blood Glucose Management Provides the Answer
This retrospective study included 90 type 2 diabetes patients with cholelithiasis undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy, divided into a hospital-wide blood glucose management group and a conventional treatment group. Results showed that the integrated model achieved better TIR and lower average blood glucose. It also shortened hospital stays, cut postoperative complications and hospitalization costs. Its advantages lie in data visualization, interdisciplinary collaboration, rational insulin pump use and systematic health education, proving worthy of wide promotion.
